1 1/4 cups water
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
In a large pot over medium heat, combine water, brown sugar, butter, vanilla and 1 cup flour. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until a large chunk is pulled from the bottom of the pot. Remove from heat. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture and stir gently between each addition.
In a small bowl, sift together brown sugar, cinnamon, and cinnamon. Reserve 1/2 cup of the brown sugar mixture for sprinkling or topping.
