Oatmeal Neufchatel Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups white sugar

4 cups whole milk

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups finely chopped roasted patties

1 teaspoon powdered sugar

1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Sift flour and salt into a large bowl. Stir in baking soda and 3 1/2 cups sugar syrup until well blended. Set aside.

Beat the egg and oil in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in brown sugar, lemon zest and vanilla extract. Blend in everything but the milk. Beat in the flour mixture. Mix egg and oil just until incorporated. Spread mixture into the bottom of a greased 8 inch springform pan and smooth.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake pie crust in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the crust from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool. After 15 minutes, bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove pan from oven and you may need to place it on a wire rack to cool. Cool slightly and cut into squares.
