Orange Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon Italian-style seasoning

1 teaspoon dried orange peel

1/2 cup canned chicken broth

1 1/2 tablespoons juice of one orange

Directions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in garlic and turmeric. Saute for 5 minutes, or until garlic is slightly browned. Transfer to a shallow dish or bowl and stir in salt, Italian, Italian seasoning, orange peel, and chicken broth. Drizzle over chicken.

Sprinkle dressing over chicken and cook for about 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Drizzle mixture over chicken and serve immediately.

I used brown gravy which was nice but was still pretty thin. I reviewed the sauce as a separate condensation and came up with a pretty good one. My tortillas were pretty dry so I just left them out and followed the recipe. I came up with a pretty good sauce and used a couple of quick hits of Splenda. Really simple to make. I liked it and will make it again.
