4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate syrup
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons chopped almonds
4 cups molasses
4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons butter
1 egg, beaten
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Beat chocolate syrup, milk, almonds and molasses in large mixing bowl until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla. Drop by rounded spoonfuls into greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with butter or margarine. Allow to cool completely.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C). Spread evenly over cooled cookie sheet.
