1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
1/4 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
Place apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat; stir. Cover, and remove from heat. Stir in water, juice, lemon juice, lemon zest and cinnamon, toast over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Beat in salt, then mix in flour. Return to a boil, stirring occasionally. Whisk in apple cider vinegar mixture. Reduce heat to medium, and cook 15 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Serve hot cooked apple with additional sugar and lemon pepper.
