Bouquet of Butterflied Oats Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butterflied oats

3 cups brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 cup buttermilk

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 tablespoons applesauce

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch square pans.

In a large bowl, mix the oats, brown sugar, white sugar, brown sugar, buttermilk, flour, baking powder and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly. Spread all the oat mixture evenly into the prepared pans. Dust with applesauce.

Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until the oat mixture starts to brown. Remove from oven to wire rack. Cool completely before transferring to the pans.
