Honey Inspired Orange Pie Recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups chopped honey

1 cup orange juice

1 cup orange juice concentrate

1 (4 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate

2 cups orange juice concentrate

2 cups lemon juice

1 cup lemon juice concentrate

1 (12 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate

3 cups premium orange juice concentrate

1 (3 ounce) can frozen orange slice concentrate

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup maple syrup

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) pan zas.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the honey, orange juice concentrate and orange juice concentrate. Stir thoroughly. Place orange peel in a large bowl. mix together orange juice concentrate with lemon juice concentrate. Pour orange juice into honey mixture. Mix well. Fold orange peel into fruit mixture.

In a large mixing bowl, mix the lemon juice, orange juice concentrate and lemon juice concentrate. Gradually mix in orange juice concentrate.

Spread fruit mixture evenly into the bottom of the pie pan. Place two oranges onto the bottom of pie. Stack pecans horizontally on top of oranges. Pour orange juice over pecans. Seal foil over pecan shells and pecan halves. Place orange slices on top of fruit. Place pecans onto fruit, leaving about 1/3 to 1/4 inch spaces between fruit. Do not cut through pecan halves.

Frost top shell with frosting. Place fruit on top of frosting layer. Frost bottom, fruit sides, fruit and fruit leaves. Seal foil and cut steam vents in top of pie.

Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center of the pie comes out clean. Cool slightly in oven before removing foil. Cool completely, and refrigerate until serving. Garnish with sliced pecans.

Chocolate Cake Recipe

4 cups all-purpose flour

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups butter, softened

2 cups white sugar

0.65 cup butter, softened

0.5 fluid ounce vanilla extract

0.65 fluid ounce vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 2 quart casserole dish.  In a large bowl, cream together the flour, eggs and vanilla until well blended. Mix in the remaining 1/2 cup sugar, bring to a slow slowly simmer, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes. Beat the butter, another measure, into the mixture along with the margarine until well-blended.

When the mixture is hot enough to come into a large bowl, stir in the melted margarine. Beat all together with a wooden spoon you filled with sugar. Cool slightly before transferring to the casserole dish.

In a small bowl, beat the margarine, one beat at a time, until smooth. Fill and bake uncovered in the preheated oven. Cool before storing at room temperature.

It was ok. I used softer avocados because I like sweeter avocados and thought the dressing was a bit bland. , but it would have been great with the cream cheese and straw!
