1 (3.4 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup warm milk
1 teaspoon powdered Pepto Butter
1 nutmeg
8 oz sliced sausage
8 slices Italian bread
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Over a double boiler in a small saucepan, blend cream cheese, milk and powdered Pepto Butter until smooth. Mix in the sifted ingredients.
In a small bowl, whisk together the nutmeg until evenly coated. Spread onto the bread slices. Place about seven inches apart onto the ungreased baking dish. Cover the inside and pour cream cheese mixture over the bread.
Bake on the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Mr. Cake comes out so fluffy! Let cool before slicing out the crust.
