1 cup margarine
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup boiling water
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
3 cups crushed cornflakes cereal
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup waxed paper
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar together. Beat in cornstarch and pumpkin pie spice. Mix in eggs, pumpkin pie spice and oil. Stir in instant coffee granules, cornflake cereal, chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until very light. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then turn out onto cookie sheets. Cool completely on wire rack.
I thought this was really easy. I grilled the shrimp, onions and peppers, tossed with a little garlic powder and baked in a 9inch square pan. I sort of wished the shrimp and veggies were a bit larger so I could stuff them more because they were a bit skinny. Pretty good configuration, especially for hosting a function like this. I may try it again with pulled pork because it was a bit mushy.
I wanted to give this a second chance, but it needed soooo much more water.. I used a boullion to give it a little more wow, but I think that would have made it even better.. I used dried lentils which were whole beans and lentils were pretty small. I used dried curry leaves which were barely there--scattered all over the surface. I used fresh turmeric which I found at my local HP
