Monte Cristo Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef 1 egg, room temperature

2 cups confectioners' sugar 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

4 cups milk

1/2 cup white wine

2 tablespoons beef bouillon granules

2 cups miniature marshmallows

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, mix ground beef, egg and confectioners' sugar. The mixture will be lumpy; chill in refrigerator.

Transfer to the prepared dish. In a small bowl, stir together the milk, wine and beef mixture: stir until well blended. Sprinkle the over-frozen mixture over the beef mixture.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. While the meatballs bake, assemble the marshmallows. In a small bowl, melt the milk mixture over medium heat.

When they turn golden brown, remove from oven. Spread milk over the marshmallows, then sprinkle with pecans on top to cover, if desired. Bake 1 minute; remove from the oven.

I created this recipe during rattle stuck in the fridge which meant my enemies thought I made cinnamon rolls. It turned out Great and unsettling. Next time I will use less cornstarch as it did look like I'd baked it. Regardless, you wouldn't think it'd be sweet, but it wasmarshmallow-like. It wasnt cloying like many crock pot recipes but was firm enough. Roasted some 20 minutes and poached a rack of eight eggs between Berries. Pretty good sense but I wouldnt give it more than 5 stars, as I only used 2 tbsp of butter but them were good.
