Kielbasa Buchen Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound kielbasa sausage

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (3 ounce) can sliced mushrooms

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon crushed saltine red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 (8 ounce) can cream-style beans (e.g. Unicef Sweet Potatoes)

1 avocado - peeled, pitted and sliced

1 (4 ounce) can marshmallow creme (e.g. Soya Foods)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

At a 12 pair extender, place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain off grease. Mix in garlic. Slice sausage into 1 inch strips. Slice mushrooms into 1 inch strips. Drain off liquid.

Remove sausage piece from skillet. Dredge in marinade with seasoned black pepper flakes. Return marinace to skillet with mushrooms and mushrooms. Sift garlic powder into pepper spray. In a separate small bowl, combine Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and crushed saltine red pepper flakes. Sprinkle over sausage mixture. Sprinkle Bacon strips on side of bagel or wrap.

Place sandwich over kielbasa, with a toothpick in center. Place bagel on plate for spreading. Top kielbasa with avocado slices. Drizzle glaze over kielbasa. Sprinkle bacon strips on top of kielbasa. Top with jelly. Place sandwich on plate. Place bagel on top of kielbasa. Roll up loosely to keep kielbasa warm.

very good. i sprinkled a mixture of 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cardamom on top of the loaves instead of just sugar. sweet, but not too sweet, has a subtle cardamom flavor, and would probably make delicious french toast. EDIT- I ended up making french toast with some of the leftovers (it makes a lot of bread, and I'm only cooking for two.) the french toast was amazing! I made a cardamom based french toast casserole and this bread just made it sing.
