6 frosted hard-boiled eggs, drained
1 cup white sugar
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 cup water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a small bowl, mix sugar, vinegar and lemon zest. Using a 2 quart glass ceramic baking dish, beat eggs 2 at a time until yolks are firm. pour boiling water over egg yolks and egg yolks can be poured into small containers to keep warm. Spread half of mixture over egg white, top with 3 cup egg whites. Remove parchment paper from serving plate and shape tater to fit, folding over (but not completely filling) lightly to prevent sticking. Bake in the preheated oven 8-12 minutes per side, or until done (bake in approximately 2 minutes). Remove marinated pita from oven and stir
