3 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups whipped cream, whipped cream full fat
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk sifted all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Beat together eggs, flour, whipped cream, sugar and vanilla. Fold pastry into hornette, the shape being approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Secure edges by cutting slices with a pastry tool; they are on the bottom and sides. Arrange pieces in oven, and repeat with remaining ingredients. Place seam side down on a cookie sheet.
Bake 40 minutes in the preheated oven; turn slices during last 10 minutes of baking. Carefully remove from oven; let stand 10 minutes, then return to sheet with only filling. Cool 20 minutes in oven, allowing to rise to room temperature.
