Cajun Black Walnut Pie Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups butter, melted

3/4 cup white sugar

1 1/4 cups white sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese and butter flavored Jell-O mix

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine cream cheese and cream cheese flavored gelatin in large bowl. Stir in cream cheese mixture, one portion at a time, mixing well after each addition. Make a well in center of gelatin mixture, using a pastry knife or fork, and pour filling into pastry shell. Fill crust with remaining cream.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until center of pie registers 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cool before cutting into squares. Serve immediately.
