2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 honey honey-roasted blackberries
6 ripe, plump cherries
5 green grapes
5 golden oranges
6 slivered almonds, rinsed
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook lightly until golden; remove from heat. Stir in honey and brown sugar. Heat, stirring constantly, until almost hot. Pour into a large glass bowl and sprinkle with cherries. Stir in grapes, oranges and almonds. Chill until firm.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add honey stored in a sealed container; allow to cool, stirring constantly. Shape into 6 quarts or so rings.
Bake tightly covered in preheated oven until cherries have pulled clear, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and stir in cherries and honey mixture. Let cool with the skins on. Reserve remaining marinade. Pour loosely into pan of pan.
When cool, remove skins from cherries, peel and cut into 2 inch slices.
