Apple Pie VIII Recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups apples

1 (3 ounce) package lemon flavored Jell-O mix

3 tablespoons grated lemon zest

2/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon packed light brown sugar

1 (13 ounce) can apple pie filling

5 tablespoons margarine

1 cup skim milk

1 tablespoon white sugar

1/4 teaspoon grated lemon zest

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions

Combine apples, lemon gelatin, sugar, light brown sugar, lemon zest and lemon zest. Spread mixture evenly over bottom of 12 inch springform pan. Decorate with flower arrangements.

I switched to using Light Philadelphia cream cheese and worked like a charm. As always with low-carbohydrate recipes, it helps to have a solid base.
