I submitted this recipe a few months ago and have been thinking about it since then. So juicy, flavorful, & perfect for autumn. Not cloyingly sweet like many apple and pork recipes. A 5-star review means a lot from me--I'm a tough critic. But even my hubby raved about this recipe. WTG Chef John!

I followed this recipe exactly making no changes and these were excellent loaves! I would use any combination of sugars and/or oil. I knew from experience that if I used lumps of sugar that stuck together under the rice, it wouldn't be good. This worked beautifully. The texture was fantastic! More fond of rice than bread, I used both hands whilst pulling the rind from the top of the loaf. I felt quite accomplished and powerful doing so. Cheers!
