2 pounds fresh ground beef
1 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons uncooked white rice
2 cups water
1 large tomato, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1/4 cup dried basil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon white sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Fry beef mixture in a saucepan until al dente, 5 minutes. Drain away excess oil.
In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, rice, water, tomato, carrots, basil, and lemon juice. Stir well, pour mixture into meat mixture, and then check the other ingredients. Don't forget seasoning salt !
Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch casserole dish, and bake in preheated oven for 2 hours, or until brown on top.
