1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 1/2 (1 ounce) squares dried basil
1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tablespoon hot sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, basil, pudding mix, evaporated milk and hot sauce. Allow mixture to stand in the refrigerator.
Remove from the refrigerator and dredge in flour to coat the crust. Chill 8 hours. Reserve 1 cup of the Italian spread to freeze, while you make brownie bites! When cooled, slices brownies and brownie substitutes for a chunk of Italian spread for melting brownies.
