2 1/3 cups shortening
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cups whole milk
2 eggs
4 cups raisins
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
Heat the shortening in the boiler or in a small saucepan until a small amount of brown sugar has formed in the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish. Sweep up the brown sugar to remove it from the bottom of the dish. Stir brown sugar mixture into chocolate syrup somewhat. Pour evenly over the brown sugar brownie crust. Refrigerate brownies for at least one hour before serving.
