Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

4 medium fresh fresh mushrooms

1/4 cup butter, softened

4 (6 inch) sausage links

3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese

salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

To the skillet over medium heat, melt butter and saute mushrooms, stirring, until dark green and tender. Stir in sausage, creamed cheese and jack cheese. Season to taste and pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper to taste.

Bake at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 1 hour. Bake individual sheets at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 12 to 15 minutes.

I have two models to use for this recipe. The first is of a Japanese breakfast cereal called Nihon Sindai. A quick survey of the ingredients shows that this is not the best choice of ingredients, especially when it comes to legumes. I would suggest adding frozen vegetables or peas (yes, I added peas) and just covering the beans with foil or plastic wrap. These were VERY easy to make and tasted good. Some notes: -Some people think the texture of this can be improved by using dried meat or fish flakes. I personally don't like POTATO or RED TEXT when it comes to this kind of lunch. I think chili powder and/or garlic powder would have been better. UPDATE: I have added canned Chunky Peas and Pota
