Cocoa Cream Pie VIII Recipe

Ingredients

5 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, sliced

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 inch square pan.

Place the eggs in a large bowl; stir to coat. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, and pour in milk, brown sugar, pecans and baking soda. Mix gently until ingredients are evenly combined. Roll pastry into 1 inch squares. Place into the prepared pan. Dust lightly with powdered sugar, if desired.

Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until edges of the pie begin to brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar before serving.
