1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pinch crushed red pepper
1 small onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash chili powder
1 pinch ground cumin
1 bay leaf
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef well. Drain excess fat.
Add the cumin, pinto beans, oil, chili powder, cumin, bay leaf and crushed red pepper. Mix together, stirring until evenly coated.
Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes.
