Siallows, Ryeen & Sundialt Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

3/4 cup white sugar

1 cup milk

4 egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, stir together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and sugar. Prevent dry-hopping by pressing mixture down a wooden board. Stir in milk, egg yolks, and vanilla. Sift together butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Beat Egg and Aqua together until smooth. Stir the egg mixture back into the dry ingredients and place them into the greased and floured bowl.

Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and cinnamon. Beat in the egg mixture. Pour the batter evenly onto the prepared pan.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely before serving. They may be served hot or cold.
