White Meringue Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

2/3 cup white sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together the sweetened condensed milk and white sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and flour. Stir together until well blended.

In a small bowl, stir together the baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add to the creamed mixture, mix until well combined. Scoop into the pastry shell. Sprinkle top with pecans.

Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
