Andalusian Noodles Recipe

Ingredients

3 1/4 cups water

1/4 cup cooked, deep-roasted almonds

2/3 cup butter

3/4 pound Italian bread, cut in cubes

3 teaspoons white sugar

Directions

Line a 8x8 inch baking pan with foil.

Heat water and almonds in oven. Pour 1/4 cup melted oil over almonds and put in oven. Enlarge baking pan, put foil over oven, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until slightly browned.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute bread cubes in butter, 3/4 cup at a time, until browned until slightly cooked. Stir in brown sugar, roughly 1 tablespoon at a time, until well blended.
