2 large heads cabbage
1 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups soft white rice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons bacon grease
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add cabbage and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes; drain. Stir in rice, oil, bacon grease and salt. Let cook another 10 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
