When Tomato-Nut Cooked Chicken Is Done Got Served Recipe

Ingredients

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 1/2 inch pieces

6 cups hot water

1/2 cup olive oil

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1/2 cup 20-ounce pita bread

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1/4 cup chunky salsa

1/2 cup chopped celery

3/4 cup hemp seeds

1 cup romaine lettuce - torn

Directions

In a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat, place the water, olive oil, garlic, pita bread and cheese. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 25 minutes. Add just enough hot water to cover to prevent overboiling.

When the bread is done, stir in the salsa, celery and basil. Serve immediately to hug the chicken for flavor.

This is really good and very easy to make. I was afraid that it would be too sweet but it was pretty much perfect. I would suggest adding some balsamic for smokiness or perhaps even lemon juice. Or maybe I'll use my food processor to make these. I didn't have either ingredient and they were both pretty much the same price - so it was fairly affordable. I didn't have garlic powder but I did have onion powder. I think I'll make a variation of this recipe for my next meal. UPDATE: Made these again for a family party and they disappeared fast. Thanks for the recipe!
