1 (14 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (15 ounce) can sliced strawberries, drained
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pineapple, strawberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Pour into a 5 gallon glass pitcher or bowl. Stir and serve chilled with butter, honey, lemon juice and lemon zest for flavor.
Good sauce, but I found that I stuffed the rolls too full. Might cut back next time but not enough for me.
