4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of tomato soup
2 1/2 cans Italian-style diced tomatoes
1 1/2 cups milk
In a large saucepan, combine butter, onion, garlic, tomato soup (chickpeas), tomato paste (tomatoes), milk and diced tomatoes to juice cup. Cover, and simmer in a covered liquid container 1 to 2 hours. Serve warm.
