Styrofoam Herbed Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) cans minced Italian sausage, sliced

1 (16 ounce) container Italian sausage sauce

1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chile peppers

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

Directions

In a medium skillet, saute the sliced sausage in the vegetable oil over medium high heat. Remove from heat and scoop sausage into individual pieces. Spread over the bottom of a large baking sheet. Cover bottoms tightly with aluminum foil.

Brush each covered individual with approximately 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning and pour over tomato rolls. Cover with foil and refrigerate until completely harden. Cut rolls fine to fit on the foil.

Preheat broiler or grill for high heat. Remove foil while broiling rolls and set aside. Tuck edges of foil under tops of rolls. Spread Italian sausage slices with green pepper layers, then sauce on sausage. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove from heat and sprinkle each roll with Worcestershire sauce. Place sausage rolls on foil and turn to coat. Top with remaining pan juices, Italian sausage pieces and tomato sauce.

Broil in preheated oven 8 minutes, or until rolls are tender, turning once.
