Thai Chicken Radish Recipe

Ingredients

1 medium radish

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 medium onion, diced

1 medium carrot, diced

1/2 medium onion, diced

1 cup crabmeat

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root

1 teaspoon salt

1 litre boiling water

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon orange pepper

1 quart white sugar

3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

Directions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in radishes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour in onion, carrot and onion. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.

Rinse the radish and cut into 2 inch strips. Combine the oil, onion, carrot, onion, crabmeat, ginger, salt, boiling water and chili powder in a large plastic bag. Shape into 2 inch pieces and place on a serving platter. Stir wine into the mixture and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Serve as a garnish or in an attempt to mimic sweet cooking from a traditional Southern dish, serve with rice or noodles.

I didn't Really care for the dough. It was sticky and spongy but I kept ticking it back into shape. About a month later and I noticed the tops were grey. Maybe I'll do another go-round.
