1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup hickory oil
1 quart water
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the sour cream, eggs and vanilla.
Beat the flour mixture into the creamed mixture, coating well. Fold in the water and oil. Scoop 1 portion of the dough into the bottom of an 8 inch serving bowl. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
Bake in a 300 degree F (150 degree C) center pan for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the bottom of the cake comes out clean. Cool before cutting into slices.
