Original Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup white sugar, divided

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

2 (9 inch) deep dish pie crusts

1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

1 (8 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

In a medium mixing bowl combine eggs, cream cheese, and 2/3 cup sugar; beat until blended. Stir in prepared whipped topping.

In a fourth mixing bowl combine remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup milk, and vanilla extract. Stir in 1/2 of the egg mixture to make a thick batter. Pour mixture into two 9 inch pie pans.

Bake 12 inch pie in the preheated oven, for 13 to15 minutes, until set in center. Cool completely before serving.
