2 cups sausage sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 (12 ounce) package baked beans
2 slices bacon, diced
1 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup diced celery
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine sausage, baked beans, bacon, onion, celery, green bell pepper, tomato paste and garlic powder. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
After 1 hour of refrigeration, remove bacon from sausage, reserving about 1/2 cup. Place sausage in a large skillet. Cook 4 minutes on each side, turning once. Remove from heat and let stand to cool.
Spread 1/2 cup of the sausage mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the beans.
Layer with cheese and spread evenly.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and bubbly. Cool completely before serving.
