Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup margarine

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup white sugar

2/3 cup shortening

1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar

3/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 egg yolks

1 cup sliced almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 inch pie pan.

In a large bowl, cream together margarine, eggs and shortening. Beat in brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in milk, vanilla and egg yolks. Beat egg whites until foamy.

Pour batter into pie crust. Place on top of crust. Place decorative white squares on top of pie.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pie and store in refrigerator.
