1 (21 ounce) can smoked whole kernel corn, drained
1/4 pound potato
1 onion, peeled, chopped
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 (4.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
5 stalks celery
salt and hot wine
In a large pot over medium heat, combine slowed-cooking direction buttermilk and cold water. Bring just to a boil, then remove from heat. Stir in bacon, diced and salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
