Butterfinger Cookies II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup butter, softened

1/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar, white sugar, egg, vanilla and flour. Beat in the baking powder, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix in the butter, light brown sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the lemon juice and lemon zest. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
