5 hickory smoked sausage, cut into 1 inch strips
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons baking powder
6 slices bacon
4 biscuits or biscuits, baked
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place sausage strips in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain grease from skillet. Add sugar, salt, baking powder, and bacon. Cook over medium heat until grease is gone. Remove bacon from pan and place into grease.
Bake sausage in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes per side, or until sausage is no longer pink.
Bake biscuits for 8 minutes per side. Place biscuits in baking dish, pouring enough sugar into the dish to cover the biscuits. Drizzle with bacon grease and sprinkle with enough sugar to cover biscuit.
Bake biscuits for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until biscuits are slightly golden.
