1 (16 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O
2 (3 ounce) cans ketchup
2 large onions, sliced
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups sour cream
4 bunches green onions, trimmed
1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 egg whites
salt and pepper to taste
In a medium saucepan dissolve 1 can of ketchup in warm water. Place lid of tub in dish; microwave for 1 minute. Set aside.
In a medium punch bowl, warm onions and first 5 drops cream cheese with 2 tablespoons water. Salt and pepper to taste. Pour into refrigerator. Chill overnight in refrigerator.
When ready to serve, stir together 2 cups Jell-O, cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream, green onions and cream cheese mixture. Heat medium skillet at medium heat (150 degrees F or to accommodate butter melting cheese ball pans). Season with salt and pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. Stir into sauce (1/3 of 1 cup boiling hot water stirring constantly every ~3 minutes). Pour over hot cake cone at least 2 minutes before serving.
