4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together brown sugar and butter until smooth. Beat in the sugar and butter mixture until well blended. Mix in the eggs one at a time. Combine flour, baking powder and vanilla extract; stir into the creamed mixture. Stir in the flour mixture until just blended.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet. Cookies should be 1/2 inch thick. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
